Frequently asked questions

Can an addon have a price?

Yes. Each option in an addon set has an optional price field. When a customer selects that option, the price is added to the cart line item.

What is the difference between per item and fixed pricing?

Per item multiplies the addon price by the cart quantity. Fixed adds the addon price once regardless of quantity. The pricing mode is set per product-addon-link (in the product editor) so you can mix and match.

Can I assign one addon set to a whole category?

Yes. On the category edit screen (Products > Categories), pick which addon sets apply to every product in that category. You can also use the Bulk assign tab to push a set out to all products in a category in one operation.

Are addons required or optional?

Both. Each product-addon-link has a required flag. Customers who skip a required addon cannot add the product to cart.

Updates and access

An active individual or portfolio entitlement provides new versions and support. After expiry, the installed local version remains but every update entitlement, support, and protected remote service access stop.
